We Are A Carbon Neutral Platform [2020]

At Jotelulu, we take our environmental impact seriously. That is why, for the second year in a row, we have calculated our carbon footprint and offset our emissions. We do this because we are conscious of the times that we live in and we know that you are just as concerned about the environment as we are. So, we want to continue to do as much as we can for the environment and people affected by climate change. Offsetting our carbon emissions is just one of the ways that we try to do this.

Here is a bit more detail about what we do at Jotelulu:

Carbon Footprint [2020]

Climate change is a global phenomenon that has a direct impact on sustainable development and the well-being of ecosystems and populations around the world. Addressing this issue requires us all to cooperate and act immediately. As a result of the challenge we face, some organisations have begun voluntary initiatives to calculate their carbon footprint and seek to reduce it. Jotelulu is, without a doubt, one such organisation.

Our Objective: To continue to grow and add value to IT companies whilst having the lowest possible impact on the environment.

To do this, the first thing we need to do is measure and compare. This year is the second consecutive year that we have calculated our carbon footprint (2020). However, we don’t just calculate our emissions, we also make them public. Here, you can find the complete report for 2020 in our Sustainability section.

Below is a brief summary of our results:

Carbon Neutral – Compensation [2020]

Once we calculated our carbon footprint, we then offset our emissions through the “Climate Trade” initiative, a project aimed at maintaining and conserving one of the last tropical cardamom forests in south-east Asia.

By supporting this project, we help to prevent the emission of more than 3,000,000 tonnes of CO2eq per year, as well as protect 497,000 hectares of tropical forest in southeast Cambodia.

This is the way that we intend to help fight climate change. By calculating our offsetting our carbon footprint, we hope to be able to grow in a sustainable way and increasingly reduce our impact on the environment. This is definitely something that we take very seriously.

We make the difficult easy

Existing Disaster Recovery tools often require advanced knowledge to manage, demanding expertise that is difficult to acquire.

Jotelulu’s Disaster Recovery aims to make the difficult easy and offers a very simple deployment based on a three-step configuration:

Origin (Primary Site)
Determine the origin location of the subscription on which the Disaster Recovery service will be established.

Destination (Recovery Site)
Set the destination location (availability zone) where you want the Recovery Site to be deployed.

Replication characteristics
Specify the data related to the number of copies to be kept and the frequency at which the replication will be performed.
